Relocation services

Moving to Luxembourg with children

Moving to Luxembourg with children means handling a lot at once: housing, paperwork, schools and childcare. A relocation specialist can take much of that off your plate, from finding a home to helping you with local formalities.

One of the first steps after arriving is registering with the commune where you live, which also opens the door to school enrolment and to childcare support such as the chèque-service accueil (CSA). Deadlines depend on your nationality and situation, so check the steps that apply to you on guichet.lu, the government's free information portal. When comparing relocation services, ask exactly what is covered: home search, lease negotiation, administrative appointments, school and childcare research, or settling-in support. Check that they know which areas suit families, including commuting times and nearby schools. Ask for references from families who moved recently and for a clear, written quote before you commit.
