Booking a birthday party venue

Hosting a birthday party away from home saves on clean-up and gives children space to play. Luxembourg has a good mix of indoor play centres, activity venues, farms and outdoor spaces, and many offer ready-made party packages.

Before booking, check what is included: the length of the party, a private room or area, supervision or an activity leader, food and drinks, and decorations. Ask for the maximum number of children and whether accompanying adults count. Make sure the activities suit your child's age, and ask how the venue handles safety and hygiene. If any guests have allergies, share them early and ask whether you can bring your own cake. For outdoor venues, check the plan in case of rain. Popular weekends fill up fast, especially around school holidays, so book a few weeks ahead. Finally, check parking and public transport links, which are free across Luxembourg in second class.
